Dr. Anne Marie Mauricio is a Family Intervention Scientist and Associate Research Professor at the Prevention Science Institute. She is also faculty and Associate Director of the Prevention Science graduate program, and a clinical supervisor at the Child and Family Center at the HEDCO Clinic. Her professional career has focused on the development, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based interventions for children and families. More specifically, her research and practice interests focus on supporting uptake and implementation of evidence-based interventions with fidelity and quality, and she has served as a principal or co-investigator on several federally funded grants focused on translation of evidence-based interventions to real-world practice. Earlier in her career, her research focused on understanding the unique and moderating effects of individual and contextual factors that might contribute to interpersonal violence.
Dr. Mauricio is also a consultant and trainer for Northwest Prevention Science in Oregon. She has worked collaboratively with community partners to support implementation of the Family Check-Up intervention (https://fcu.uoregon.edu/) in community practice in the United States and internationally, and she has trained 100s of providers in the model. She is also a licensed psychologist and, consistent with her commitment to the scientist-practitioner model, she has spent many years engaged in clinical practice in predominantly community mental health working with children, families, and adults.

Dr. Mauricio is interested in research focused on the translation of evidence-based interventions for sustainable delivery in real-world settings. Broadly, her research examines the influence of program implementation on program outcomes. For example, she is interested in understanding how cultural, sociodemographic, individual, and family-level factors as well as intervention-group level factors influence engagement in family-centered interventions and how heterogeneity in engagement links to intervention outcomes. She is also interested in heterogeneity in implementation readiness among providers of evidence-based programs and how this heterogeneity relates to implementation fidelity. She uses her research results to adapt implementation competency drivers, such as provider selection, training, consultation, and fidelity monitoring. More recently, Dr. Mauricio has also engaged in research that focuses on increasing opportunities for SARS-C0V-2 testing and vaccination and understanding barriers to testing and vaccination among underserved populations with high rates and disparities of COVID-19 infection, morbidity, and mortality.
