Focus Area
Damion's research is exploring the regional variation of aquacultural techniques that exist in the remote areas of the Pacific Islands with an emphasis on the survey of stone-walled fish ponds, fish weirs, and fish traps built by indigenous groups typically located within the coastal strand.
Research
Damion is interested in Island and Coastal archaeology within the Pacific Island and Pacific Northwest regions. Prior to academia, Damion was a tall-ship captain and Non-Profit founder whose responsibilities ranged from carrying cargo in the South Pacific to conducting “eco-tours” and educational programs around the world.
