Biography

Elisa Jamgochian coordinates the Special Education Minor, Certificate, and K-12 Licensure and Master’s Degree Programs. Her research and scholarship focus on applications of universal design in education to evaluate and alleviate accessibility barriers in curriculum, instruction, assessment, and environment to improve instructional decision making and student learning outcomes. In addition, she has engaged in research related to teacher preparation and professional development, including examining and finding ways to support meaningful teacher reflection to improve instructional practices. Elisa has previous teaching experience in special education at the elementary school level.
