Justine Lovinger is a graduate of the University of Oregon (BLA 1991) and Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design (MLA 1996), and is a registered Landscape Architect in the State of Oregon. Justine, with her business partner Jackie Robertson, heads the firm of Lovinger Robertson Landscape Architects in Eugene. Their practice focuses on the integration of architecture and the garden, at a range of project scales from community and institutional site planning to residential design. Justine’s work concentrates on a thoughtful synthesis of a complex set of forces into a simple unified vision; combining the client’s desires and aspirations, the patterns of architectural elements, the landscape context of the garden, its ecology and regional vernacular, and the evolution of the planting through the seasons and the years. Justine regularly teaches design studios at the University of Oregon.
Justine is a co-recipient of the 2006 EDRA/Places Award in Design for the Paleo Lands Institute in Fossil, Oregon.
