Lisa Höller received a BA in German Philology and English and American Studies from the University of Salzburg.  In the academic year of 2012/13, she was a Fulbright Language Teaching Assistant at Bowling Green State University in Ohio.  She then worked at the University of Salzburg as a research assistant for the project "Regional Variation in the Grammar of Standard German" and received her MA with a focus on German linguistics from the University of Salzburg in February 2016.

After this, she was awarded an internship teaching German as a foreign language in Nepal.  She is also a licensed ÖSD (Austrian language diploma) examiner.  Her research interests include fin-de-siècle and 20th century German literature, German and English linguistics, translation studies and poetry.

Outside of class, Lisa enjoys traveling, biking, hiking and other outdoor activities.  She also loves to do yoga, cook and bake.
