Mariah Deguzman (she/her) is an Academic Advisor in the College of Education (COE) at the University of Oregon. She provides holistic advising to undergraduate COE students to help them reach personal, academic, and professional success.
As a first generation student, she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of California, Merced and received her Master of Arts in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University. While at Bowling Green State University, she worked with the living learning community for students with a passion for art. After graduating with her masters, she spent 9 months working as an admissions representative for the University of California, Santa Cruz. Prior to working at the University of Oregon, Mariah worked with Arizona State University in Residential Life working with students to help them find success in whatever way was meaningful to the student.
Mariah was raised in the Greater Los Angeles, California area. Outside of work, Mariah enjoys spending time with her long-term partner, reading books, and watching cooking shows.
