Matt is a former sports journalist and managing editor who worked at newspapers, an online news publication and as a social media manager. His research is dedicated to understanding the impact of sports and communication, as well as other non-sports journalism issues. Research methods include both quantitative (content analysis) and qualitative (textual analysis). He has experience teaching journalism and mass communications writing, photography, editing, and page design. He also has taught public relations writing and media relations.
