Dr. Mendoza is a sociocultural anthropologist with expertise on hunter-gatherer societies of the South American Gran Chaco, and also Mexican immigration in the United States. Her current project is on genetic ancestry testing and national identity (www.cei-ar.org), in collaboration with Dr. Graciela Cabana, University of Tennessee-Knoxville. Mendoza is research associate at the UO Institute of Cognitive and Decision Sciences.
