Sumita Louis is a teaching fellow and doctoral candidate at the School of Journalism & Communication (SOJC), University of Oregon, Eugene. She studies audience behavior on social networks and contributes to research on India's National Telecom policy frameworks and media businesses.
Sumi has presented her research work at SOJC's "What is Life?" conference (What is? 2017, Portland), Association of Internet Researchers conference (AoIR 2018, Montreal), and International Association for Media and Communication Researchers conference (IAMCR 2019, Madrid). In her previous avatars, she has worked in the broadcast, new media, mobile content and tech startup space, with stints at Gannett (USA), Times Internet (New Delhi), Rhythm New Media (USA), Canvas M-Tech Mahindra (New Delhi) and Star TV (Mumbai).
