Miyoko serves as a clinical supervisor for the Communication Disorders and Sciences graduate program in the Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) clinic. She is licensed by the Oregon Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She has served as a Speech Language Pathologist in across an array of settings. She began her career as a school-based Speech Language Pathologist in preschool through high school before transitioning to combined-setting medical positions that included outpatient pediatric and adult therapy, inpatient rehab, and adult acute care. She enjoys the opportunity to be able to work with a variety of patient populations and especially loves how AAC allows her to support individuals across the lifespan. In addition to providing direct intervention as a Speech Language Pathologist, Miyoko has also served as the hospital representative for the Pediatric Rehab Operations Committee within her hospital network.
